Cosmetic dental treatments
A great smile isn’t just about teeth, it’s also about the lips and the lines around the mouth and chin. So, for a complete smile makeover, patients are opting for anti-wrinkle and line reduction injections, to restore volume and reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles around the lower half of the face.
Cosmetic dentistry is an increasingly fast-moving world, with advances in techniques and technology offering new options all the time. Dr Grant has built The Whyte House on embracing new treatments and techniques which benefit you, in terms of better, safer, more long-lasting results.
For all procedures, we believe in creating a long-lasting solution, not just a ‘quick fix.’ For teeth straightening, revolutionary new braces can now align teeth in months rather than years, while teeth whitening can revitalise the natural teeth without the need to remove any enamel.
Cosmetic fillings, shade-matched to your natural tooth colour, can not only be used to replace old silver amalgam fillings but can also be carefully shaped to aesthetically restore worn down teeth or fill minor gaps.
For more damaged teeth, Crowns or Dental Bridges can restore their shape and function, combining strength with the look and translucency of natural teeth. Where the tooth surface of individual teeth is rough or discoloured, Veneers can be fitted to restore smoothness and the look of enamel. They can also be used to align teeth.
With veneers, crowns and dental bridges, we usually refer cases to our cosmetic technician, whose great skill can recreate the natural appearance of enamel, matching or enhancing the shades according to your wishes.
A dental implant is where a tiny titanium screw acts like the missing tooth root and holds a crown or dental bridge. This is the most advanced way to replace missing teeth permanently and lies between dentistry and surgery.
Patient’s also have Botox® and/or Dermal Filler injections in the lower half of the face. For lips, we use small amounts of Botox® to soften fine lines around the mouth and/or Dermal Filler to restore lip volume. We can then use Dermal Filler to soften nose-to-mouth and mouth-to-chin lines.
We rely on our intimate understanding of the face muscles, as qualified and experienced dentists, to inject with precision to ensure a refreshed, natural-looking result.
