INMAN ALIGNER™ ‘SPEED BRACE’: WHAT’S THE STORY?

What is an Inman Aligner?

The Inman™ ‘Speed Brace’ is a quick and simple way of straightening your 4 front teeth, either upper or lower. In a matter of weeks, it can treat mild to moderate cases of protruding, crowded or gapping teeth. Most of our patients say they can’t believe how quickly they see results!

How does the Inman Aligner work?

The Inman™ aligner is a removable clear retainer custom-made to fit snugly over your 4 front teeth and uses two opposing spring-loaded aligning bars to provide gentle but constant pressure to align teeth. Surprisingly, this gentle pressure is not only the quickest way to move teeth but also makes treatment very safe and kind to teeth.

Can you eat with the Inman Aligner?

No. And that’s actually the great news: because the Inman™ ‘Speed Brace’ is removable, not fixed, you take it out when eating and to clean your teeth. You can also remove it for special occasions, as long as it’s only for a few hours at a time.

Can the Inman Aligner fix gaps?

Yes, the Inman™ ‘Speed Brace’ can close gaps between the front 4 top or bottom teeth in as little as 6-8 weeks.

How long does the Inman Aligner take to work?

Probably less than you’re thinking! Typical treatment times are 6-18 weeks, with most cases completing within 8 weeks, although a lot depends on the complexity of your case and on how closely you follow our advice regarding the number of hours you should wear it per day.

Can you just wear the Inman Aligner at night?

No. For best results, the Inman™ ‘Speed Brace’ should be worn for 16-20 hours a day and only taken out for eating, drinking and cleaning or for occasional social events. Otherwise your treatment will take longer.

Is the Inman Aligner painful?

The Inman Aligner™ is not painful although, as with most braces, some patients may experience some mild discomfort when they first have the brace (which, don’t forget, is a sign that your teeth are moving into position) but this can be treated with mild painkillers, like you might take for a headache.
